How do germs spread?
According to the CDC, germs are a part of everyday life and are found in our air, soil, water, and in and on our bodies. Some germs are helpful, others are harmful. Many germs live in and on our bodies without causing harm and some even help us stay healthy. Only a small portion of germs are known to cause infections.

How to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria?
One of the best ways to avoid getting sick is washing your hands with hand soap and water often. If hand soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol can be used.

Where can I find Safeguard Soap in stores?
Many Safeguard products are available at major retailers across the United States, but unfortunately, some are not yet available in Canada. If you’re having trouble finding the select product you’re looking for, we’d be more than find a store close to you. Please have your product handy and desired city in mind with the associated zip code or postal code. From there, we can identify stores that have recently sold that product.
What does Micellar Deep Cleansing mean?
A micelle is a round cluster of cleanser molecules that have both water and oil attracting properties. The cleansers in Safeguard bar soap, hand soap, and body wash form micelles that absorb and trap dirt, oil, and other impurities and rinse them away from the skin without stripping skin of moisture*
* vs. ordinary soap.
What does it mean to be endorsed by the Skin Health Alliance?
The Skin Health Alliance is a global organization of independent dermatologists that assess the research and development behind various products to help consumers know what’s good for their skin. With so many options available, knowing that many Safeguard products have been endorsed by the Skin Health Alliance as safe and effective helps consumers be confident they are making a good choice.

What are the ingredients in Safeguard?
What’s the difference between Safeguard’s white vs. beige bars?
The white bar contains aloe while beige bar does not. Safeguard beige bars have a fresh clean scent, and Safeguard white bars have a fresh clean scent with a touch of aloe.
How long can I keep and use my Safeguard products?
The recommended shelf life for Safeguard products that have not yet been opened are as follows:
Bar Soap – up to 2 years after production
Liquid Hand Soap & Body Wash – up to 2 years after production
Hand Sanitizer – Please look at the expiration date printed on the bottom of the bottle.
Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap – Please look at the expiration date printed on the bottom of the bottle.

How do I recycle my Safeguard bottle?
Please look for the recycle logo on your Safeguard bottle and follow accordingly.
How is Safeguard Made with American Jobs?
All Safeguard products are manufactured at facilities in the United States of America. Our liquid hand soap and body wash are made in Iowa, hand sanitizer is made in California and Virginia, and bar soap is made in Ohio.
What is Safeguard's $10MM Donation?
Safeguard is donating $10 million to teach and promote handwashing habits to children and provide communities and families with free hygiene products to stay healthy. Our outreach has been implemented in 15 countries reaching nearly 100 million children
